The recent media reports stated that the Ponzi scam hit the 12 districts, the majority of which are the eastern Dzongkhags. The online internet scam has swindled 539 people of their hard earned Nu. 7.1 million. The scam was able to find victims even in the farmers who hardly understood the mechanism of internet. Scam was able to victimized huge numbers of people in the world, banking on unlimited human desire.   The Ponzi scam was first started as Ponzi scheme by an Italian-American Carlo ‘Charlie’ Ponzi in 1920s. During that time, the world postal offices used to issue the International Reply Coupon that could be exchanged for postal stamps throughout the postal members of the world. Coinciding with the World AIDS Day on 1 st December 2011, five HIV Positive people decided to go public with their disease. These brave acts on the part of these people will go down in the Bhutanese history as an exemplary deed  who put their life, reputation and public out casting  on the line to educate people about AIDS and demystify so that people do not conceive the AIDS as demonized killer as the people conceived now. It is the democracy of the death.’ On other hand, Indira Gandhi said, ‘tradition is itself the product of continuous evolution.’ These two quotes seem contradictory in the surface. However, going deep, these two sayings seem to convey the similar meaning. Tradition is not something sculptured in the igneous rock which can’t be erased. Even the rock so rigid and durable is prone to weathering and disintegration over the geographic time. The tradition and culture so rigid but shameful must give ways to more irrelevant and contemporary ones. The tradition must evolve as to suit the time.
